Sometimes you just have to get it out. You must blurt. To name the elephant in the room before you try to tackle it. Sometimes you are just busting to say something.
For me an external processor who always thinks better in the company of others this blog is a means to do just that.
The therapy is in saying it.
The reward is:
- If anyone finds it useful and
- A response, any response.
My aim in putting fingers to keyboard is to invite conversation that leads at least for me to greater understanding and appreciation of others’ views.
For a number of years now I have been producing a weekly Thought for the Week on Video simply expressing what I am learning and thinking about as a jobbing Pastor in a local church. I have posted almost 400 to date, particularly though not exclusively on Facebook. These have been helpful to ne and as some of you have said helpful to others.
This is not intended as a departure but an addition. Sometimes I think better in words.
My intention is for the posts to be as wide as the thoughts I believe God sows in my mind to express. Some, maybe all(!) will be theological, at least loosely, others will share practical experience and lessons I am learning.
Generally, they will be published on the Entheos Website and posted on Facebook each Tuesday
The first one proper will be a reaction a concern I have and what I see coming out of the US at present for we all know that what is seeded in the US leaches over to the UK in short order. As such it will inevitably be political in nature, though I hope not partisan at least in the writing if not in the reading.
I have simply called it – The Politicisation of Faith.
